Diabetic Carnivore with Jay Horley | Educator #9
Description
Today’s conversation is with Jay Horley. Jay has a passion for education and self-development since 2010. He has traveled the world learning from industry leaders in personal training, exercise biomechanics, stretch therapy, and a lot more - and is currently the Education Manager at ATP Fitness, between Hong Kong and Singapore.
Having been diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes at age fourteen, this BJJ athlete has had his share of health challenges. The experiences of trial and error in managing that further drives his pursuit of quality education. In recent years, he found that the carnivore diet drastically improved his health conditions, including mental wellness.
In this episode, Jay shares in detail about his health journey before leading a carnivore diet life and how that helps him manage his diabetes, how mental health is related to how the body feels, his perspective on men’s mental health, dating, and sex, a deeper dive into inflammation, sustainable change and recovery as part of a successful transformation project, modalities for education and his mission to elevate the standards of coaching.
